"Let's go out tonight" squeezed Patricia.
"I don't know if I'm feeling it to be honest" said Sarah doubtfully.
This was the 4th weekend in a row of going out and it was taking a toll on the girls, Sarah was sick of going out just to get hit on by unsuitable suitors.
"You're going to be single for the rest of your life if you're not careful.." Patricia said with a sharp tonge.
"That's not fair, you know I try" Sarah replied.
The thing about Sarah was that she hated being single and longed for that dream guy, maybe a bit too dreamy in her mind. She had never been in love, in fact never had A proper boyfriend, just boys that would make her feel smaller than her size 8 waste.

A few hours later and  Sarah had painfully turned up to A mutual friends house. Well it was more like a flat then a house, 3 or 4 floors each carpeted with a off grey colour. Sarah on the bottom level shouting "I'm here"
"you turned up then" squealed Patricia from the second floor
"come up!" called their other friend cara
Sarah ran up the stairs, nearly tripping over her many bags full of outfits for the nights antics.
Sarah opened the pink and blue painted door to see the two girls sitting on the bed looking like they've had a good old gossip.
"what??" questions Sarah
"We know there's someone you'll like coming tonight" said Patricia excitedly
"who?"
"my alex's best mate, ricky" said Cara jumping in with excitement.
Now Sarah although was excited to meet this guy, was slightly apprehensive. She had been set up by her friends many times, and to say she liked any of them would be a huge lie.

The girls walked up to the entrance of the bar. The old style wooden doors and cracked paint gave the venue such a vintage feel, but the sight of huge, slightly dirty bouncers took most of that away.
Once Sarah showed her ID she stepped her pink heels onto the wooden entrance floor slightly nervous for the evening ahead. The girls walked forward and had the choice of many directions.

"There they are" shouted Cara over the loud dance music

Sarah instantly felt her body shake. She had A feeling this evening may not end up good as she was always slightly negative when it came to drunken nights out.
The girls walked towards the overcrowded bar. It was like a pond full of barely dressed women with short dresses, and overdressed men in shirts and suits.
There they were.

"Hey Baby!" Screamed Cara grabbing her boyfriend
"Hey Cara what took you so long, lets get drinks" Alex screamed calmly over the loud music
Sarah stood there awkwardly whilst Patricia took the crowd, impatiently desperate to get a drink.

As the night carried on, Sarah had become more calm and slightly drunk. Unfortunately the guy she was hoping to get with wasn't in her best interests.
"You having a good night?" asked Ricky, grabbing Sarah's left cheek
"Erm.. yea" Replied Sarah
"Lets go back to mine, for a .. erm.. afterparty"
"No thanks, I'm not that drunk" Said Sarah Furiously
"Oh please, like you're anything special Babe, Seriously" said Ricky Nastily
Sarah, who was very insecure felt suddenly sober. How dare he speak to me like that she thought in her head. She became overwhelmed with upset and ran out of the overfull club.

Sarah found herself outside, trying to hold in her anger and upset she slumped onto the cold floor.
"Are you OK?" Questioned A tall, smartly dressed guy.
"Does it look like it?" mumbled Sarah
"Sorry just you're crying, I was just trying to be nice" Said the guy calmly
Sarah looked up to see it was one of Ricky's friends, Sarah felt slightly embarrassed.
"It's Ricky isn't it?"
"yea, he's such a twat, who does he think he is" Said Sarah wiping away her tears.
The guy feeling awkward standing over Sarah, sat down on the cobbled floor beside her.
"I'm Jason, you're Sarah right?" Said Jason greeting Sarah with a awkward handshake.
"Nice to meet you" Giggled Sarah.
